About The Job

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious part – Qualified / Finalist CIMA /ACCA Management Accountant to join a leading global organisation based in central Woking.
This role is responsible for aspects of the month end reporting, in particular the production and analysis of the revenue accounts as well as a variety of operational and overhead cost lines. A key aspect is continuous process improvement and ensuring improved engagement with the wider finance team and with key business stakeholders.
Specific responsibilities include:
Month End Reporting
• Own and manage the end to end accounting process in reporting our revenue and key cost lines, to ensure accurate and timely reporting, including management of all barter deals.
• Responsibility for Inventory accounting including organising and managing the annual inventory count and working with the business to improve processes.
• Full P&L responsibility for the accurate and timely accounting & reporting of the above areas of the business.
• Ensure that all relevant balance sheet reconciliations are understood, completed and reviewed each period and that any queried items are actioned on a monthly basis.
• Ensure that the relevant SarbanesOxley requirements are complied with and that all relevant internal controls and processes are documented, implementing improvements to processes, including tasks brought forward to reduce the impact on each period end.
• Provide monthly revenue figure submissions to ONS and produce quarterly EC sales submissions to HMRC along with any ad hoc surveys required
Management reporting and Financial Analysis
• Partner with finance colleagues and the key business stakeholders to ensure delivery of accurate and timely results.
• Produce relevant period end schedules to support journal and accrual postings to check for accuracy.
• Controllership of relevant cost lines on the profit and loss account in partnership with the commercial finance team and ability to explain variances.
• Provide variance analysis on P&L and BS movements monthly and yearly
• Driving transformation and change, identifying areas of improvement and making necessary recommendations, and implementing change in partnership with the Finance Manager.
• Showing potential, beyond current level, by demonstration of the Behaviours and being proactive to drive career forward.

The successful candidate will be at least mid way though their studies with a solid management accounting experience within a global organisation. You will be technically strong whilst demonstrating effective business partnering skills. There is an exceptional study package in place and the environment is supportive and progressive.
