Senior Credit Controller

About The Job

We are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Control professional for a highly successful global organisation.

You will be responsible for the management of the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and maintaining a healthy cashflow.  Whilst supporting the business with credit risk management and cash flow forecasting, you will work closely with Operations and Commercial teams, as well as senior management to proactively resolve queries and minimise credit risk.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective credit control policies and procedures that align with the company’s objectives and industry best practices.
• Forecast cash receipts for key customers based on ledger data and customer payment patterns.

• Preparation of Aged Debt analysis identifying balances at risk and action being taken
• Monitoring and reporting on debtor days and credit notes issued and providing monthly commentary.

• Credit insurance – work with credit insurers for ongoing customer credit limit requirements, contribute to annual credit insurance renewal and submit quarterly turnover declarations.
• Set up new clients in the system and maintain up-to-date client records, including changes to billing or contact information.

• Work with Operations team to review customer debit notes and deductions.
• Collaborating with other departments, such as Commercial and Operations, to ensure effective communication and coordination regarding customer accounts, pricing and orders, and other customer queries/issues.

• Lead process improvements across Credit Control, identify opportunities to improve and simplify the credit control processes to drive efficiencies.

• Managing one Assistant providing ongoing support, coaching and feedback, as well as quarterly appraisals.

The successful candidate will be qualified CICM or studying towards and a keen interest in systems and data management, an ERP upgrade is planned, and you will be part of the implementation process. Along with a proven track record and a desire to deliver continuous improvement. This is a very interesting role within a dynamic business.
